The end of an era

'Twas a dark and stormy night.

And Husband got up at 3 am to check on the gazebo. (What he would have done if it had been blown over I don't know.) He walked into the lounge in the dark and stepped on . . .

the slug!

It's now a squished and flushed away slug, and I'm hoping that will be the end of slug trails.

Unless he left a family behind . . .

He probably felt sluggish to begin with. 😊

A slug is also a derived measure of mass in the Imperial measure system since aboute 1900AD.

Dark and stormy knight? Like Othello? Actually the first line of an 1830s melodrame. But I forgot which.

Nothing worse than stepping on squishy things in the dark

Ewwww! I always wear something on my feet during the day. Not so much at night.
