What sort of van is this?

Husband's good. He knows his cars, even with my dreadful drawing. He did hesitate at first and suggest I googled Ford vans, "Although Ford vans tend to go out more at the front." (And my drawing is so accurate!)

Then when I explained the front was shorter than it looks he came up with A35. And that was what I wanted.

But I don't think I do want it after all.

I'm thinking about cover designs for my next novel and I don't think I'm skilful enough to manipulate an image to look the way I would want it. But I shall bring my new knowledge into the text so as not to waste it. Currently editing and doing slight revisions with a plan to publish it in November. (Expecting rejections from publishers any day now.)

And I'm still thinking about how to begin new novel rewrite.

No exercise class this morning or for the foreseeable future. That's the trouble with going to a class aimed at over 60s and taught by an older woman. Her husband is very unwell and she needs to care for him. I'm going to have to find an alternative. I've been looking at 'Easy Daily Routines' on the internet. You know the sort of thing. Do these four exercises for four minutes and lose your belly/get your weight down/improve your health etc etc. but I know I won't stick to a regime. Unless it's a regular class I'm committed to I'm rubbish.

Will not lose my belly or weight if I keep making dishes like this, delicious though it was.

I planned to make a simple sausage and gnocchi dish but then found this variation with a cheese sauce. everything's better with cheese.

England won their quarter-final so go on to play the All Blacks next weekend in the semi-final. At one point it looked as though it could be an all Northern hemisphere semi-finals but, surprisingly, both Ireland and France lost. It was an amazing game yesterday between France and South Africa. Seeing teams like that - and Ireland and the All Blacks - give me some perspective on how far behind the Welsh team really is.

And it's much more enjoyable watching a rugby game when you're not too invested!

P.S. Debra, sadly no, Canada didn't make it to the World Cup this year though I'm pretty sure they have in the past.

That dish looks great, but I think I'm the only one in the family to like sausages.

It has taken me (male 79) six months to get down from 96 kg to 84kg. Target is to be under 80kg by 31/12. Still a struggle though.

That dish looks delicious. We would have that at least once a year! You only live once!

Canada sucks at any team sport except hockey. And curling.
