Possibly my fault

I blame the dentist. Or maybe the cold weather. It can't possibly have been my fault that I drove into the post at the bottom of the drive again.

My dentist appointment was at 9.00 am (for heaven's sake!) so I had to leave here at 8.15. Because it was cold, although I cleared the worst of the frost from the car windows, my vision was less than perfect.

Husband declared the damage to be not as bad as last time so that's something but he's also told me I should park out the front instead of on our drive. Personally I think I should give up driving altogether. But that is way too inconvenient just yet. I must concentrate harder.

Anyway, dentist declared my teeth to be fine and I have an appointment for a check-up in a year's time. So all good.

Then a walk with Husband and Daughter and Louie and Toby on Pobbles. A bit breezy so almost deserted and lots of room to run free.

Zac's in the evening and we're beginning to regroup I think. More regular 'regulars' settling back into our routine.

One lovely moment I revelled in - although that wasn't very Christian of me - a man was mansplaining something to a woman. At the end of his bluster she said, "What about what it says in Exodus chapter 2?"
The man stuttered, "blurh blurh blurh, help me someone."

I couldn't resist a quiet "yes!" to myself.

I wonder if the mansplainer decided to leave her alone. Too much to hope he'll learn better in general. So many men seem to be in the habit, their default mode.

About the gate post, we can draw a veil over it.

I'm sure that post just leaped out of nowhere and struck the car all on its own! Posts are known for that.

I very much he'll learn, Boud.

I shall employ you as my lawyer if I ever need to go to court, Debra.

Exodus 2? Where Moses` mum cons Pharoah's daughter into paying her for a task she would have done for free anyway? The first social scounger was Hebrew? Is that where antisemitism started?

I believe those posts find entertainment in moving themselves in the way when one is backing out of a driveway.

I agree with Debra - the post jumped out and bit the car. Or possibly the dentist made you do it.
