Where's Zapata when you need him

Lovely family afternoon with swimming and barbecue.

First swim of the year!

Not jubilee scones.

And, out of curiosity, I googled Zapata. He was a Mexican revolutionary in the early twentieth century. And here's a moustache chart too.

We could do with our own revolution at the moment. Boris Johnson was booed as he entered St Paul's cathedral for the jubilee service where he read these words from the New Testament:
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.

I wonder who was responsible for choosing the verses and - as someone said on Facebook - if that person still has a job. Personally I hope the person responsible has been promoted.

But surely they could have chosen someone more worthy to read the scriptures. Princess Anne maybe, or just about anybody who isn't a member of the government or Prince Andrew.

There's a bad old movie called "Viva Zapata!" where Marlon Brando (well known Mexican that he was -- NOT) played the lead role. Have you seen it?
