Many years ago we used to get birds nesting in a hole in the wall of our house. The hole was near the upstairs toilet so when the babies were born we could hear them cheeping noisily inside the wall.
Thinking they'd like it we put a bird nesting box over the hole. And that put paid to any birds nesting there!
Over the years a few tits have nested in it but not regularly but this year we have a family of house sparrows living there. I noticed lots of fly-bys on Thursday but it wasn't until yesterday that I saw any action. I was so excited.
Wasn't quick enough to catch him half in half out.
Tomorrow we're having the family around for lunch but today is a rest day. In theory. Think I can manage that? I'll start a new jigsaw; that will keep me occupied. Stop me thinking about things I should be doing.

Some birds like bird houses and others don't.
Birds don't take suggestions from humans, I guess. Until they're good and ready.
