Zapata!

I had to go to the village this morning so thought I should wear red, white and blue in honour of the jubilee.

And in case you can't read it here's the white bit.

It was a beautiful morning to be up and out early. (My early i.e. 9.30)

Just sitting here typing when I thought, "That's a funny noise George is making. I'd better check on him."
Turned out it was birds tweeting.

My hearing test is next week.

Speaking of George, he started yapping at 4.15 this morning. Husband sat and stroked him for a bit but as soon as he left to come back to bed the yapping began again. I think it was the splash of water thrown over him that finally stopped it.

During that three quarters of an hour so I began to think about moustaches. When Husband came back to bed I said, "What do you call those long droopy moustaches?"
He thought for a minute. "Mexican? Gazpacho?"
"That's a sort of soup."
But something was stirring in my brain. "Zapata!"

But then I couldn't remember why I wanted to know.

I wonder if there's a technique of remembering and remembering why you wondered, both at once. My experience is that I eventually remember why I wondered but have now forgotten the word again.

I wore red, white and blue on Tuesday, and will again on Sun when we have a party on the green.
