So Boud wanted to know what books I'd chosen for my froth.
Dial A For Aunties - girl accidentally kills date set up for her by her aunties. They help her hide the body!Last of the Summer Moet - well-written frothy romance amongst the upper middle classes.
The Vinyl Detective - one in a series I'm enjoying. Usually on the hunt for a rare record the so-called Vinyl Detective and his eccentric pals get caught up with murderous plots.
All Human Wisdom - the odd one out. Looks a bit more intellectual - if I'm going to be a book snob.
Which reminds me. On CopCar's blog she has a post featuring one of those lists of Books Everyone Should Read. I reckoned I've read about nineteen out of a hundred. Recently I saw this on facebook and thought it well worth sharing here.
That's me happy and settled.
Now I know there has been no end of build-up to the jubilee celebrations this week but somehow they slipped me by so I have been caught out by a bank holiday. Two bank holidays in fact, Thursday and Friday.
Yes, you heard me, a bank holiday on a THURSDAY. I may never know what day of the week it is ever again.
I suppose in America you are used to public holidays on Thursdays with Thanksgiving but here bank holidays are always Mondays. It's just not right to do it this way. It catches people, by which I mean me, out.

Thanks for the book info. I haven't read any of them, like the great books list ...
I find that holidays always mix me up for the whole week. Most of our national holidays are on Mondays and that just confuses me every time.
Enjoy your 4-day national Jubilee holiday!
