A few negative ions

A lovely though very cold walk along the beach yesterday afternoon blew away my iffy feeling. All those negative ions work wonders.

What made it even better was that I was coming home to dinner cooked for me! Strictly speaking it was cooked for Husband but I benefitted too. It was Elder Son's birthday present to his Dad - a locally sourced and home-cooked meal.

We began with scallops in chilli garlic butter, followed by Welsh Wellington. Dessert was cooked on the barbecue - I did take a photo but it's very blurry - Dirty Cookie Dough. (See menu for explanation.) The scallops were also barbecued.

Even the wine was Welsh!

It was all scrumptious - better than the meal we had in the restaurant.

I am so very happy that all three of my children love to cook and are good at it. Especially when it's to my benefit like this!

Nice! I think food is always better tasting when fixed by someone else.

Your son did a great job by the look of it!

From the looks of it, no negative ions were needed to enjoy that sumptuous meal. Belated birthday wishes to your husband.
