Yesterday I went to the recycling shop to fill up on washing liquid and conditioner. I took the lid off one bottle and after filling it couldn't find the lid. I looked everywhere and then the assistant spent five minutes with me looking, moving big containers in case it had fallen behind or under.
It turned out I'd put it in my pocket.

Please check your other pocket, Liz, to see if my gasoline can cap is in it. Pockets are the first place we should look. Glad you found it!
Yes. I did that. Only in my case I put the bottle in my pocket whilst searching for the cap and the liquid poured everywhere.
