Crumbs! I got up this morning to find myself in a Twitter fight.
Me!
I know. That's not me, is it? And I can't even remember how it began except it involved knitting scarves for the homeless.
Now people think a) I'm a middle class do-gooder; and b) I can knit.
Admittedly my first tweet - the one that caused the uproar - could have been phrased better. In response to someone's else tweet, I said something abut the homeless being grateful for scarves, which they are in my experience.
Currently revolution is being put forward as an answer with me being one of the first against the wall probably.
I am undoubtedly 'perpetuating the system' but I still think people shouldn't have to suffer while we wage war on the system.
I think I'm too old and boring for Twitter.
I didn't think it would help to quote Jesus who said, 'The poor will always be with us,' as well 'Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and visit the sick and in prison.' I suspect that would have unleashed a further torrent of abuse.
Hey ho.

Are you a bourgeois running dog? Hahahahaha, haven't had a chance to dust off that old phrase for a while!
Probably, Debra.
Most of the people who get up in arms are either fake accounts or have fewer followers than my knitting group. I like to correct their grammar then block them!
Personally I think - there are too many people out there with too much time on their hands.
I set up a twitter account and got bored with it within a week.
I recently deleted Twitter. Too much drama for me.
Never had a twitter account, it always feels a bit aggressive to me with everyone ready to attack you whatever you write about.
