The gym is now open so Husband has thrown himself into exercising again. We've been trying to do a short routine most mornings - okay, some mornings - but this morning as I was on my own as he'd gone to the gym I thought I'd try something different.
Actually that's not strictly true. I would have done our regular 10 minute Seniors HIIT session but technical ineptitude combined with a new television controller foiled my plan.
25 seconds exercise followed by 35 seconds rest
30 secs followed by 30 secs
45 secs followed by 15 secs.
I now need a long lie down.
I'm not sure which was worse: the squat jump-turn ...
or the backward lunge hop.
Obviously I looked exactly like these people when doing the exercises.

We had a fire alarm go off in my building last week and I had to walk down 11 flights of stairs. My legs killed me for 3 days afterwards. Starting to think I may be incredibly out of shape? LOL
Dear Heaven! Nobody's supposed to anything like that!!
Get with the exercise then, Debra!
Trust me, Sonata, what i did was nothing like that!
Debra--I find going down harder than going up, muscle-wise. I once went up and down 26 flights - but that was when I was in my 60s! Now, if I make it up and down 12 flights (BUT - I usually stop at 6), I'm doing well. I use our basement stairs to get my heart rate up when I haven't been able to go for a walk/to the gym for a few days.
