In which Husband has a good idea

And, unlike mine, his are usually good. As was this one: to go for our first sea swim of the year yesterday.

When we had the long warm period lockdown was just starting and we weren't able to travel even as far as a good swimming beach so we stayed in the pool instead, but a forecast warm day with a late afternoon high tide seemed like an ideal opportunity, too good to miss.

It did look as though we might have to miss it as our usual parking areas were full - why aren't all these people in work/school? - but we found one and walked across the cliff and down to Tor Bay.

The water was chilly (temperature about 17 degrees) but lovely and there were waves! (There are rarely waves on this beach.) My only regret was not taking my surfboard with me!

Of course when a granny goes to the beach without a grandchild ...
Granddad is forced to participate even if not proactively. You can see how much he enjoyed being Canute ...
