A lovely day yesterday walking on the cliff top with Daughter and children.

Afterwards I showed them my shockingly grey roots, and asked if they thought I should just give up and go grey. Daughter said, 'Now's a good time to try it as you don't have to see anyone, and you can easily dye it again if you don't like it.'

Sensible advice from Daughter however I'm siding with GrandDaughter2 who said, 'I like it yellow.'

I think it's less what I'll look like and more the fact that it will make feel old if I'm all grey.

Today is a good day as well as I'm finally able to do my bit to help in lockdown. Because of Husband's vulnerability I've been keeping away from people but today I broke free! (In a very masked and distanced way of course.)

During lockdown the more vulnerable members of the street community have been having a daily delivery of a hot meal. This has been thanks to the council and a number of agencies, and loads of volunteers working together. Because many of the volunteers who've been helping deliver are now starting to go back to work, from this week the meals are still being provided but will have to be collected from different locations in the city. Thursdays and Fridays it's Zac's turn. So today I went to The Shared Plate community cafe to pick up the food and drop it off at Zac's.

A new serving hatch has been put into place in Zac's.

It' a very small part I'm able to play but I am so happy!

When I arrived at Zac's an ambulance was pulling up. Sean said it wasn't for us, unusually. Turns out it was for us - but not to pick up a patient. They'd brought a young woman who'd obviously been in some distress to us. When I left she was sitting on the pavement outside Zac's eating some of the food just delivered. (Restrictions meant she couldn't go inside.)

It's only Zac's who could have an ambulance delivery! Good to know some things haven't changed.
