Don't be stupid, Brain

Have spent all afternoon preparing a study on chapter 9 of Mark's gospel. I wasn't meant to be leading but Stu is ill, Steve is ill, Monty is unavailable, and Sean did it last week. So I volunteered. Hope it earns me extra 'good girl' points with someone. Which, of course, is why I do it.

I enjoy preparing studies. Much more than actually leading them. At one point this afternoon a thought popped into my head: I would undoubtedly enjoy doing a theology degree. Almost as soon as the thought appeared I sent it on its way. 'Don't be so stupid, Brain.'

In other news, Elaine, the fitness teacher, told me to be gentle with my partner this morning. And I didn't have time yesterday to wish you all a Happy International Women's Day.

Is there a Men's Day? (I know: every day is men's day.)
P.S. November 19th has been International Men's Day since 1992 although the UK didn't recognise it until 2008.

We could say the same about men for sure.

Be gentle with your fitness partner? What were you doing? Beating him/her up?

I think so, Marie. And dogs. Definitely dogs.

I hadn't even touched her at that point, Debra!

Children's Day is 25th January.

(That's a contrived Scottish pun, btw.)

Very contrived, Stu!

I really appreciate what you do for others always Liz. Thank you for sharing your journey in preparing studies and the sudden idea that came to your mind. It was so hilarious to read about what your fitness coach told about being gentle with your partner. Belated Happy International Women’s Day to you too.
