Damp at Zac's

There's no Zac's tonight. The building, an old Gospel Hall, is being treated for a serious damp problem and the smelly chemicals, not to mention the upheaval, make it unsafe for general use.

A mushroom about 4 m in diameter has already been removed from the side wall of the main hall and rotten wood beams are being replaced.

The work is costing about £2,000 - and that's with Sean and volunteers doing it - and for a charity run on a very tight budget that's a big chunk. So we're doing some fund-raising, starting with a Christmas Fair and going on with a sponsored parachute jump - not me!

That's a lot of money to find - but it would be so much worse if you had the commercial firms involved! I hope it all goes smoothly for you.
