Husband and I were in town and back home again by 10.10 this morning.
Pretty impressive I think. Husband bought shorts, I bought a bra, and, most importantly, my wedding ring is back.
On the 'wrong' finger as I don't want to return it to my trigger finger just yet, if ever.Even though I saw the film of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - many moons ago - the end was still upsetting. So shocking that such treatment was accepted then, and, no doubt, similar things happen today in some parts of the world.
The Great Divorce covers a time, I guess, between death and heaven, where people are given choices. Interesting characters and understandable choices. In the prologue, I think, C.S. Lewis says that we have to return to where we made the mistake and start again there before we can progress. I'm not sure about that but who am I to argue with a great theologian and Christian? (A stroppy but sometimes, often, confused woman is the answer.)

The wedding ring looks great! I read Cuckoo's Nest too back in the day after I'd seen the movie. Both the book and film were great!
I liked that Runcie. The books appeal to me more than the tv series largely because I don't like the actor who plays Sidney. I'm told there were others later in the role though.
I wonder if wearing a ring longterm affects the finger?
Sounds like a successful shopping trip.
We are back from our walk before 10 but have no purchases to show for it. Photos maybe.
I dislike Lewis
I didn't know the ring had left?
The Great Divorce sounds interesting. Go back and fix the mistake? What if we've made many?!
Smart thinking to transfer the ring to a different finger.
Ah, to be back at a young enough age where my knuckles have not enlarged. I am impressed that your ring fit on the other hand. Looks great!
After some digging (thank you, ctrl-F), I found out where the ring went. Glad you are reunited.
It sounds like you are ready for your trip. Hot days in the pool are lovely!
It looks like a brand new ring.
It really helps being able to 'see' Jack Nicholson in the role.
I didn't watch the television series but enjoyed the gentleness of the book.
It was, Janice.
Even better!
That doesn't surprise me, Stu!
It still feels strange though!
Me too!
Thank you, CC.
They are wonderful, Marie.
It does, doesn't it? So shiny!
