The bulk of the bushes cut down!
Except now we have three enormous piles of branches to dispose of. As well as thirteen bags of garden waste. Tomorrow we'll begin the tip runs. Then when I can see what's what I can continue tidying the area. But won't the roses love that extra sunlight! (There are two rose bushes in that bed though you may not be able to see them with all the background branches. They're not flowering yet.)
Inevitably I got trapped behind the final push and had to cut my way out.
These two photos more or less make up the back edge of the garden.
Now I have to think about dinner. We finally had the peanut chicken dish I planned and it was okay. But didn't last us for two meals as I'd hoped. Husband would say there's nothing to eat now, as we're out of meat or fish. I might pop to little Tesco and see what they have. Don't have a lot of enthusiasm for being creative and we've had something on toast twice this week.
By the way, HullBoy's total is up to £143,000.

No meat or fish= nothing to eat!!🤗 Just checking how many meals ago I had meat or fish.. As my mom would say: what would you like for dinner, there's eggs!
Precisely, Boud!
i've been on my own for the weekend and the motivation to cook for one is severely diminished....... there's nowt wrong with something on toast......
Your garden looks GREAT!
I always have bacon and eggs so if it all fails we have breakfast for dinner.
That is quite a clean up job done.
Cathy
Good job on the cleanup. I hate having to think of something for dinner at the last minute.
Some of our suppers are pretty light. There is always toast. And eggs.
I agree great looking garden!
You've been busy in the garden. It's looking good.
Absolutely. One of my favourites.
Thank you, Debra.
I'd used the bacon on toast earlier in the week!
You are a good planner!
That keeps me happy.
Thank you.
Thank you!
Hope you find something edible . . .
