Husband's new rule

Husband has a new rule for a successful marriage: he tells me what to do and I tell him what not to do.

It works very well in the garden; I'm not sure about the rest of life.

Today I was preparing the greenhouse for the gro-bags. Husband usually plants in the soil but decided to make it easier for me. As I still had to shovel off the top layer of soil I'm not sure it was any easier to be honest. The struggle was stopping him from lifting things.

But the garden has become my garden. I wander around it thinking, how pretty my garden is.

The forget-me-nots add so much colour and there is the promise of lots more to come.

However, I am now officially knackered. And, sympathy please. A bramble reached out and grabbed me when I was on the walk yesterday!

That was a pretty vicious bramble.

It looks like the bramble invited all his friends.

Ouch! How awful. How painful that must be. Oh, the suffering you've endured. I wonder how long it will take for you to recover, or if you ever will. Is that enough sympathy? I fear your Husband's rule will not work out for him. My husband had the same rule. Eventually, my rule became telling him to shut up. Then he became ex-husband.

Love,
Janie

Brambles are treacherous things. Many's the time I've nearly been toppled by them. Savlon is soothing.

Brambles are a bane - and they do reach out to grab one. Are your tetanus shots up to date?
