What is pink and has spots?

A quick trip to Mumbles this morning to post a birthday card and go to the library. And possibly buy a reduced Lindt Father Christmas - but you didn't hear me say that.

Took in a few charity shops as I was there. To be honest, one called me in. The window display featured a mannequin wearing a long pink jumper with tigers on. "Oh!" says I, "must have," as if in a trance.

The Air Ambulance always has lots of themed teapots. There was one shaped like a pot of jam with a miniature tea tray on the lid. I was very tempted but anticipated Husband's reaction: "Well, that's going to get broken." So didn't buy it.

When I came home and told him he said, "It doesn't matter if it gets broken if it's cheap!"

No interesting jigsaws in the shops though. Which reminds me: what to do with a jigsaw with missing pieces. I mark the box to show where the missing piece is but does anyone buy a jigsaw that isn't all there? But if it doesn't go to the charity shop it goes in recycling, which seems a shame.

Just noticed: they're not tigers but leopards. And the inside is different. Maybe Boud can explain this.

There is a new charity shop opening here. I am looking forward to shopping there.

You got a leopard-eating-faces sweater? I don't think I can explain this!

The missing piece would be very irritating.

At this point in winter bright pink always looks bright and cheerful. I would think that if you disclosed the lack of puzzle pieces the shop could sell it for a reduced price.

I agree, it doesn't matter if it gets broken when it's cheap.
I would buy a puzzle with a missing piece if it wasn't too expensive. And it would be nice knowing where the missing piece will be.

With regards to the incomplete jigsaw, we used some pieces to decorate a plain photo frame. The rest had to be recycled, but a fun afternoon in our common room.

Bright colours are good in the dark days.
