Okay, Christmas decorations put away for another year. Didn't get many out so it didn't take too long although I did get distracted looking at the junk we keep in the attic and promising myself, one day, I'll come up here and sort it out.
But not today obviously.

I've not done any Welsh lessons since before Christmas and I keep getting these sarky emails from Duolingo. "Given up Welsh, have we?"
No, I've not but I was having a little break, and the more sarky emails you send me the longer it will be before I start again!

My article for Gower Community Magazine is available now. You'll find it on page 26.

I bought a month's subscription to Jacquie Lawson cards so, if I have an email address for you, you may well get a random card from me, just because I can!

Trying to increase an online order to avoid paying postage, I bought myself a new hairbrush.
If I recall correctly it's boar's hair. I wouldn't have thought to get a new one except GrandDaughter1 told me I should. Admittedly mine is older than I can remember.

We have the grandchildren put up our one box of decorations every year, which includes tree ornaments. We put it away in 20 minutes. Perfect!
My son and I have a new tradition: on or around my birthday in mid December we put up one small box of tiny things. Early January or this year New Year's Eve, I tumble them all back into one box. Ten minutes! He carries the box upstairs for me next time he visits. Easy. Enough!
I love Jacquie Lawson cards! I've subscribed to that site since 2010 -- yikes, 15 years now! I have found it to be worth every penny.
And I like your Gower post -- positive and uplifting, as your posts always are. I feel like we got a preview of it on your blog first -- lucky us!
This is the way to go I feel!
Less is more I believe nowadays.
Thank you! I am about to start the next one!
Now that I think about it my hairbrush is very old too.
Decorating a tree is a Norse pagan thing. Not Xian really. Another example of the church stealing other folks ideas.
i get a Jacquie Lawson card from an old friend twice per year -- birthday and Christmas. They're great.
Buying something to ensure that postage is free is quite a game in our house! I can get quite carried away and then realise it would probably be cheaper to pay the postage
Time for a new one?
But so pretty!
They're very clever.
Absolutely!
I went as far as paying a monthly membership to avoid paying shipping. Probably not the smartest thing but it is what it is.
You get fast service as well though, don't you?
