Hydrangea bush planted last year completely destroyed. |
Dahlia planted three days ago destroyed. |
I even tried slug pellets around the hydrangea, and now, on Stu's advice, I've squirted washing-up liquid around the dahlias.
The ones that don't even try I have no remedy for.

I went to town after cooking in Zac's this morning to stock up on pants. Some generous people had previously donated Primark vouchers to us so I had over £150 to spend.
I gathered a goodly collection, not bothering to keep count of the cost, and took them to the checkout. They came to £100 exactly!
"Go me!" I said.
I'm not sure the young boy on the checkout understood why this meant so much to a foolish old woman, but you're my people: you understand why buying pants at random and finding they come to exactly £100 is satisfying, don't you?
This is £100 pants from a cheapy store.

One thing I didn't buy when in the store was this 'bra' (?). (In case you can't read it, it's a strapless and backless adhesive bra.)

That was pretty good coming out to an even number and a total less than what you had is always a good thing,
Adhesive bras don't sound very comfortable or supportive!
I'm not in the market demographic either for that strapless backless adhesive bra, lol.
Those bras must be for all those backless shirts and dresses.
so sorry about your plants.
Good amount of pants I am sure they will be appreciated.

Google tells me that £150 is a little under 200 usd? Then I looked at your photo of "pants" and see that they are "underpants". I'm pretty sure we mostly speak the same language.
No need to translate disinterest in backless strapless bras.
Half a lifetime ago, in 1980, I tried the backless/strapless variety of bra to prevent having telltale lines through a light-colored, sheer chiffon formal dress that I wore to the US Navy birthday dance. I was well-covered, the dress having a matching long-sleeved jacket, but no "offensive" lines. Today? I might use the bra to cover my kneecaps. Gravity has won the battle on other parts.
I, too, was surprised to find that "pants" were "underpants". Keep it up, Liz, and you will educate us all - lol.
