I was going through the photos from our 2015 Vietnam/Malaysia trip - for reasons too complicated to explain - and I came across this one. We saw lots of happy couples in all sorts of strange places posing for their wedding photos but I think this is the oddest.
The groom is standing on a lookout station (?) on the north south Vietnam border, the scene of many battles in the war. Not the best place for a reminder of a happy day I would have thought. And, no, I don't know what the bride and presumably photo planner are doing. Keeping out of shot I guess.

I wonder if the location was a place that had history for the young man.
