National Book Lovers' Day - I notice there's no apostrophe in the original - but I ran out of time to post yesterday.
My Life in Books
Pookie by Ivy L Wallace
I don't remember anything about it but know that I loved this series of books.
Little Women by Louisa M Alcott
I still have my well-thumbed copy from my early teenage years.
Brother of the More Famous Jack by Barbara Trapido
I loved this so much I gave copies of it to others - something I never usually do - because I was so convinced they'd like it.
My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologises by Fredrik Backman
Just wonderful for its unexpectedness and warmth and love.
Each book was just right for me at time. I wonder what this selection says about me.

I am just again reading : Watching the English. A 2004 book by Kate Fox who is a professional social anthropologist. Still quite amusing. ISBN 0 340.82886 2 cost £9 when I bought it back then
"My Life in Books" -- great concept for a post! I may steal it! I too adored "Little Women" as an adolescent.
I just want to know who sits around and makes up all these national days.
