Happy New Year to one and all! May it be a year of experiencing life in its fullness, a year of courage and of strength, of joy and of extravagant love, a year of making amazing memories.
Through the good and bad bits may you know that you are loved.

A bit of a retro feel to today's lunch. For starters it was a choice of Florida cocktail or salmon mousse, prawns and avocado. With watermelon for the children.
Followed by a crown roast of lamb with an apricot, cranberry and pistachio stuffing.Probably should have taken the string off before serving (or photographing) but I feared it would fall apart. And I left it too late to buy any of those little crowns for the bones.
With spinach and sweet potato dahl for vegetarian Daughter, and pizza and chicken for the children.
For afters there was fruit for the children (and some choccie bits) and cheese and biscuits for the grown-ups - mostly to make a start on the cheese mountain we acquired before and over Christmas. And because a) I couldn't think of a non-dairy but yummy dessert; and b) I was worn out anyway!
Then later we all enjoyed some Facetime with Younger Son and family in Italy. A good end to the festivities I think.
Did I mention that even my loose trousers are tight now?

Happy New Year liz, and to your Zac family and home family.
Everything looks classy and delicious! For our New Years Day meal, I'm making roasted Greek chicken and spanakopita with a side of Greek salad, plus tiramisu for dessert.
I haven't had a crown roast of lamb in decades. Yours looks soooo good.
I’m having the same problem with tight pants :-)
The holidays are hard on the waistline. The food looks delicious though. Happy New Year!
