Another one of those weeks.
Bad for Welsh sport. On Saturday our rugby team lost to Georgia for the first time in history; on Monday the football team drew with the USA in the World Cup competition; today Wales lost to Iran in the same competition. This means it's more than likely that Wales will be coming home very soon. And tomorrow Wales play Australia (rugby); another loss looking likely.
So on to happier things.
GrandDaughter1 was thirteen on Wednesday - although it feels as though she's been a 'teenager' for several years. On Thursday we hosted a tea party for her. What do you do when you're having a party while you're in the middle of decorating?
What else? Oh yes, I was unusually vocal and bolshy in bible study on Tuesday. Then came away feeling guilty. Reassurance all round but still uncomfortable with myself. One dogmatic man just presses all the wrong buttons for me. But that doesn't mean I should react.
Anyway, an extra day in Zac's this week as we were short of volunteers today. Then I came home and created this mini collage to post on Zac's Facebook page with some information about what we do.
With a small band of loyal volunteers we prepare and serve up to about 90 hot meals two days a week every week to vulnerable persons in Swansea.
Our specialities include chilli, chicken dinner, pasta bake and chicken curry (not pictured). And this is all accomplished in a kitchen far too small to swing a cat in - you can see all of it in the picture.
Each meal deal includes a cake - usually home-made - and a banana, as well as a hot drink of choice, bottled water and soup.
And today we hit a new record: one coffee with six - that's SIX- spoonfuls of sugar!

Had to LOL at your use of the term "bolshy" -- haven't heard that in awhile! Your hot dinners look delicious and nutritious. I'm sure they're appreciated by all who eat them!
Feeding the hungry is a blessed thing yo do. And such good home cooking too. Go you! The bolshier the better where I stand!
Bolshiness is fine. Especially if the recipient of said bolsh won't listen and accept other opinions.

Our eldest grandchild turns twelve next year. She’s been a teenager for a while too. They grow up so fast these days! Happy birthday to your young woman.
