Yesterday the death was announced of Darius Campbell Danesh. The 41-year-old Scottish/Iranian former pop idol star was found dead in his apartment, cause as yet unknown.
Who?
Normally that would have been my reaction on seeing that he was trending on Twitter but the name rang a bell.
Back in 2001 he realised a song called ColourBlind that reached number one in the British charts. Again normally that wouldn't have registered had our dance teacher at the time not selected to play it for us to rumba too.
I looked it up but sadly even hearing the music didn't remind me of the steps or the routine we learned. We were really good at it too!
