Took Husband to A&E last night.
He'd been complaining about a bad toe for a couple of days and it was so bad yesterday he was using a stick to walk and taking painkillers. He couldn't remember doing anything to it but wanted to get it checked out. We figured early evening was probably a good time to go so I dropped him off on my way to Zac's and collected him afterwards.
Turns out he has gout.
A visit to the local GP this morning and he got a prescription and should be better in a few days.
Honestly, I'm married to an old man!
And here for PipeTobacco and Chuck is a photo of a rocky road.
A tray bake made of butter, chocolate, golden syrup, biscuits and marshmallows.

Gout is a rotten problem I hope it eases up soon.
I only know rocky road as an ice cream flavor, all sorts of nuts and stuff in it. This is an interesting dessert.
It's not just old people who get gout. A friend's son, who is in his late 30s, has been diagnosed as such.
Your rocky road sounds delicious. I hope the gout clears up quickly.
Sorry to hear your husband has gout. That can be extremely painful, I hear. Good that he's now got an Rx for it. I suppose he'll have to modify his diet to guard against future episodes.
I suspect the Rocky Road dessert came first and was the inspiration for Rocky Road ice cream. But that's just my theory.
That cake-like dessert looks delicious! I am sorry about your husband’s gout….. I have heard it is very painful.
