Have I shrunk over-night?

I emailed Jean and told her. She thanked me and said she'd already noticed.

Thinking about dinner this morning I realised we have no meal type food in the fridge. "We've got plenty in the freezer," Husband said.

I've just looked. Our freezer is full of smoky sausages and ice cream.

I finally got to a garden centre yesterday to consider in the flesh so to speak, statues and arbours. Gosh, isn't everything expensive?

After deciding one thing - a statue and arch with climbing roses - I've changed my mind and reverted to arbour with a seat, and climbing roses. It's really beautifully scented roses I want. So I've been out this morning beginning the job of preparing the area. I keep hitting rock underneath - and not that deep.

So far it's turned out to be stones but what if . . . the previous owner who was a doctor, killed a patient and buried him there? They seemed very nice but I expect they would.

At one time we grew courgettes very successfully in that area. We put it down to having buried our cat there but who knows?

Of course Husband and I had the conversation I was expecting.
"Why do you want to buy one? They're expensive. I can make one."

I pointed out that if the sun shines he lies in the garden; if it's raining he plays Fortnite. He admitted the truth of that.

Husband just came in the study. I told him about the food options. "I like those smoky sausages," he said.
"I don't so you can have those and I'll have ice cream."

We settled on macaroni cheese with smoky sausages on the side for him.

I'm sure that my desk chair is lower than usual. I feel like a little person.

An arbour with a seat would be ideal because then you could sit and smell the roses!

That's what I thought, Debra!

I've just commented about the email, and then seen this post. I don't know what's happening with notifications, I get some but not all of them, so I'm out of sync!

So, how's the weather there? Enough days for the roses to bloom and you'd want to sit out there? Here I'd only get to sit out about 2 weeks in March and 1 week in November. After that it's too hot or too cold (hey - I live in south TX - 60 degs is cold).
