A little bit of me

 My thoughts on the jubilee.

And my latest article for the Bay magazine. All about bindweed in the garden and bindweed in the brain.

Interesting jubilee thoughts. As an emigree, I was amused by the "we prefer the status quo" comment. So true of the people who stay, so inapplicable to the adventurous who go elsewhere and happily make a new life. Or to the adventurous and desperate, who come from elsewhere to make a new life and find they're dealing with Priti Patel.

I enjoyed your story about the Buckingham Palace Tea Party! Was that George periodically panting in the background of your recording? lol

I like the Queen too but, insofar as Canada goes, I've been a republican for at least 45 years now. Another country's hereditary monarch as head of state is just too, TOO colonial for any self-respecting independent nation. Because of our constitution, though, it would pretty much require unanimity of all Canadian provinces plus the federal government to substitute an elected figurehead instead. We rarely have unanimity in Canada about anything.

Boud, please don't mention Priti Patel, hideous woman.

Quite possibly it was George, Debra! It was recorded at a point when it was either his toe nails click clacking , him barking, or panting.
