I have a friend who buys most of her clothes in charity shops. She always looks fantastic. I could be wearing designer outfits and still look as if I've been dressed by a breeze. A breeze that resented wasting its time too.
I know the ideal is to have a basic wardrobe where everything complements everything else and can be mixed and matched. But when I go to a shop and I see something I like I don't think, "Will it go with anything else I own?"
If I asked the question the answer would be no but that doesn't stop me buying it.
I think it's because my hair needs cutting. I feel I look old and boring. I don't feel old and boring, which as I tell myself is the important thing, but it's still a downer. I shouldn't care what I look like and, trust me, if you saw me out sometimes you'd quickly work that out! So it's only an intermittent, "Oh phooey."
And now, onto a much more important topic.
I saw this on Twitter:

"look as if I've been dressed by a breeze. A breeze that resented wasting its time too" -- HAHAHAHAHAHA! I can't talk, though. My standard outfit is jeans and a t-shirt. And usually some kind of weirdo t-shirt at that.
I also see posts from those that find those "fabulous" clothes at resale shops. Nope, I never find any such thing. Mostly I wear shorts and t-shirts (maybe jeans during our short winter). That's fine.
