Owing - one fish supper

Today is Son-in-law's birthday so it was arranged that we'd all meet at the Pier and have fish and chips for lunch before a walk on the beach.

We arrived at the car park to find GrandSon2 feeling ill - he has been off school since before Christmas with long Covid which comes in waves of headache and fatigue. So we brought him home while everyone else enjoyed their chips.

Yes, we are heroes.

On the way home we stopped at a shop and I bought some nice bread and had bread and jam for lunch to make up for the disappointment.

I told myself that's enough recompense but I suspect I will be carrying in my brain somewhere a little marker that says, 'Owed fish and chips'.

Maybe more than one, paying interest on the debt.

And, that's the perfect example of what Grandma's do - unconditional love and giving up fish and chips!
