So last Wednesday Jim said, 'Wear something festive to exercise class next week.'
Needless to say I was the only one who did.
And my deeley boppers stayed on throughout!* * * * *
When I made my Christmas cakes I also made another secret cake - a wedding cake. Last night in Zac's we had a blessing for Tamsin and Paul, so now I'm able to reveal my creation. No sharks or polar bears this time.
They enjoy fishing so I got two miniature rods (from a dolls' house supplier), and shaped them into a heart with their initials caught on the hooks. It really annoys me that the one on the right is slightly too close to centre but I'd stuck it down with icing before I realised. The cake went down well regardless.I have a friend, Nigel Mason, who does beautiful glasswork so I asked him to make a Celtic cross that Zac's could give to the couple.
As you'd imagine, they were delighted. The whole ceremony was wonderful with some really touching moments not least of which was a fab rendition of Love Me Tender.

A beautiful cake, a beautiful gift, a beautiful event for two happy people!
What a friend you are! So thoughtful, everything thought of. No wonder they're happy with their wedding gifts.

I love the blue theme in both the cake and the gift.

I love the cake, with the white hearts around the edge, and your funky outfit for your exercise class!
Absolutely wonderful, we are still warm and fuzzy over the whole ceremony and and the cake didn't even last two full days. It was delish!!
