When the grandchildren come to visit they have drinks in large plastic beakers. There are two problems with this.
If they pour their own drink they fill it up - and inevitably end up leaving half.
They never remember which cup is theirs so by the time they leave we find we have used every beaker in the house.
To remedy this I decided to look for some small glasses with different patterns on them. And they aren't any. Or if there are they only come with four different designs, which is no good if you have more than four grandchildren.
But when I was in Hobbycraft I had my other brilliant idea: I'd buy some glass paint and make my own from jam jars (as used for drinks in the more trendy bars - or so I'm told.)
Then when I was getting myself a glass from the cupboard i noticed we actually had a collection of small glasses. And this is the result.
Don't look too closely or you'll see my wibbly wobbly lines and dubious artwork. You only need to glance quickly to get the picture. Pretty ingenious, eh?

Good luck with your new (and lucrative) career! Next thing we know, you'll be jet-setting off to the moon with those other gazillionaires Bezos and Musk!
Watch out with the glass paint. Or you might find yourself labeling all the cups in the house..ask me how I know this! I didn't get rich, but you just might. trademark your idea quick.
The glasses are great, your grandchildren will love them.
Hah! I like the cleaning ethos! I concur that it could stem creativity if you worked too fastidiously!!!
