I've spent a very successful three hours Christmas shopping.
In my attempt to avoid giving more money than necessary to Mr Bezos I resolved to do as much local shopping as I could. Despite the bookshop not being able to get the books I wanted I was not deterred and have done pretty well I think.
I might have bought some clothes for me in the process. Well, one item, but it's not the sort of thing I usually wear, so we shall see how it works out. (Photo to follow.)
And I ordered a turkey!
I am so ahead of myself I had better slow down lest I meet myself in another continuum.
And, yesterday, thanks to a generous donor, I was able to buy £200 worth of pants for Zac's for the homeless.
Sean suggested I ask to speak to the manager at Tesco's and see if I could get a deal. I plucked up my courage but my request got a bit lost in translation i.e. going from my mouth to the girl on Customer Services who asked the other woman who then called someone.

A generous donor indeed! That's terrific!
You are so not a failure, never. I think the solution is a good one - do fewer things :-) I don't like going into town very often, so when I do I like to get a lot of things done at once, then I get over tired and I'm wiped out the next day!
