A trip to Cardiff yesterday with a friend on the train. A female student sat opposite us. I cannot imagine what she made of our discussions about hairy chins, the importance of wearing knickers in bed when you're alone in the house (in case of burglars), and the general stress of being us, but I saw her try to hide a smile.
Cardiff is the capital city of Wales and is a shopper's dream with loads of lovely posh and interesting shops, and more eating/drinking places than you could get through in a lifetime. Swansea, my home city, is sadly depressing in comparison, full of charity shops, pound shops, mobile phone vendors, and For Lease signs. (Not that there's anything wrong with charity shops but, well, just but.)
This morning I asked Jim, our teacher, why, if we're getting better, exercise class isn't getting easier. 'Exercise never gets easier,' he said. 'Or it shouldn't. If it's easy set yourself a harder challenge.' I wish.
Got to Zac's to find Stu at the bottom of the baptistry digging up the drain, with Sean on hand with a do-it-yourself endoscopy kit.
The sooner the refurbishment gets underway the better. Who knows what we might find living in the walls?

I agree with you, Liz! You ARE special. Next time I'm over, we should take the train - me from Newport and you from Swansea and do some window shopping and lunch!
You are special! Funnily enough I've had those same conversations and concerns - hairy chins and panties when in bed alone (same reason).
Yes, I think your "I'm special" theory is definitely the way to go!
Your conversations with a friend are way more interesting than mine. Then again, we don’t chat on a train…
I'm puzzled. In case of a burglar am I to jump out of bed to show off my knickers?
Oh, my mouth is watering….. anything with dates….. a definite winner in my book!!!!! Pecans, walnuts…. Any of this would be good too! But dates are just sublime!!!!
If you feel comfortable doing so, I would love to hear more about your current writing work on your fiction. The bits and pieces you have mentioned to me are very inspiring. I like reading about it…. and I like knowing an Internet friend who is an actual published author! It has always been a pipe dream of mine to publish fiction.
If you happen to be writing about your writing work on your author blog…. and you feel comfortable sharing its location again (I apologize for not remembering where it is when you told me before) I would be interested in reading it there if you are using it still.
