After eighteen months I have finally learned how to say: Dw i'n dwp.
Dwp or twp is an affectionate Welsh word for stupid. You'd have thought it would have been one of the first things to learn. Then again it might be a bit off-putting when you're starting out.
It's official though: dw i'n dwp.
Yesterday I ordered flowers to be sent to someone. Last night just as before I was going to bed I had an email update from the company confirming my order was on its way. It was while reading that email that I realised I had given my address as the delivery address.
Frantic emails and messaging morning got me nowhere. 'Sorry, it's too late to change now.'
Fortunately the recipient lives in Swansea so I can hand-deliver the flowers but it's always so exciting, I think, getting flowers from a delivery man.
Of course, if I happened to be 'out' when the flowers were delivered I could re-arrange delivery and at that point I could change the address ... but I want the blooms to be at their best so there it is.
I blame the misleading website order form. I definitely wrote the correct address at some point but I think I might have been confused when they asked for a shipping address.

These things happen! At least you're both in the same city!
Good the recipient is nearby so you can deliver the flowers.
I don't know - having someone you know come by with flowers is just as nice for both parties. The surprise and happiness is always a good thing to feel and see.
Pam has a good point.
I didn't know that I used a bit of Welsh. To me, twp = township. (They taught me that in plane surveying in 1955. Perhaps it is time for me to dump that bit of knowledge to provide room for something more topical.
