So England lost the Euros on penalties in the end, although really I think it was lost in the second half - and that's from a non-football-fan who knows very little. Saddened this morning to hear about the racist abuse showered on the three young (very young) black men who missed their penalties. It is such an ugly side of football - and of Britain but one that has been encouraged by Johnson and Patel, and the nationalistic attitude of the government in general. Sickening.
Anyway, stayed up late - for us - for the football, then got engrossed in my book so didn't go to sleep until very late, and then George woke us at least four times in the night. I got up once; Husband did the rest. George seems to be constipated. He was in and out all evening and then all night and is still struggling to poo.
We had a family barbecue on Saturday and he had lots of leftovers, and probably stuff he shouldn't have had as well, so we're hoping that's the cause, not anything more serious.

In our Monday exercise class the track, Living Next Door to Alice, is used. It's become a bit of an earworm for me except I add my own little variation.
'I don't know where she's going or why she's got to go,' followed straightaway by, 'Alice is marrying one of the guards, a soldier's life is very hard, said Alice.'

Slimming World weigh-in tonight so I try not to eat anything during the day. Then afterwards I come home and have a treat, on the grounds that I have a whole week until I'm next weighed. Tonight it will be leftover gooseberry crumble. I made a huge one for the family on Saturday and managed not to eat any so tonight's my turn. Can't wait. I can already taste it ...

I hope a George is okay. Poor pup!
Sounds as if the pup might have had a bit too much human food!
Now that you've mentioned Alice abd Buckingham Palace, I've got it going in my head.
Sorry that England lost. Sorrier still to hear of the racist attacks on players.
I hope so too, Marie.
Sorry about that, Boud!
So very sad, Debra, and even sadder that it was anticipated. People knew it would happen.
Best wishes to George. You can do it, buddy. Alice marrying one of the guards and a soldier's life . . . is that from an A. A. Milne poem? It seems familiar to me.
Love,
Janie
Yes, it is, Janie.
Yes I totally agree with your comments about this government. How Johnson was ever elected as PM I have no idea but of course there are a great many people who agree with him. Makes me sick. I don't watch any sport. I don't like what competitive behaviour does to people.
I hope George is better.
