What lockdown has done to me

Back to exercise class for the first time for five months. Jim, the trainer, promises to be gentle. First exercise leads to thighs on fire. The rest are nice in comparison but fear I will be unable to move come Friday.

Paul's funeral today. In a very large church building so a few of us from Zac's were able to go along, and sing quietly into our masks. Still can't quite grasp that he's gone for good.

Now I'm supposed to be making cake for Zac's tomorrow. I think I'll stick to simple fairy cakes as lacking enthusiasm. Experiencing what I hope will be a short-lived sense of ennui.

Oh, and what did lockdown do to me? Could only just squeeze into funeral dress. Will have to hope no-one else dies before I lose some weight.

Thighs on fire? Oh dear.

I remember that feeling of thighs on fire! long time ago now. I'm having a difficult time resisting chocolate at the moment, eating way too much.

Congratulations for taking the first step towards getting back in shape. I understand too-tight clothes all too well.

Well, you know "they" say exercise is good for the heart and soul. Personally I think that's a bunch of lies but..... As for your friend - not gone as long as he is held in your mind.
