So, talking to GrandSon4 today we found ourselves on the top of Everest. An ice cream van turned up and Rainbow, the black dog, ordered chocolate ice cream. GrandSon4 immediately said, 'Chocolate is bad for dogs, Rainbow.'
Oops, Granny. So he had strawberry instead.

I finally managed to do my designated Rest Time today. And very nice it was too. Sitting down in the middle of the day reading a novel. Definitely preferable to running.
I assume they have ways of recording the reaction times in the cognitive tests very accurately. In one test you have to stare at the cross in the middle of the screen and then click the spacebar each time you see a big black dot. It feels as if my reactions are very quick and not varying much. Of course what seems very quick to me would probably be slow compared to a teenager used to playing video games.
Much harder is the one where they show you an item and you have to click to indicate if it is heavier or lighter than the last item you saw. Remembering what it was is the big problem.
Now before dinner I think I'll watch an episode of Pretend It's a City with Fran Lebowski. I would love to have her frankness - and wit of course.

An ice cream truck on top of Mount Everest? Tsk, commercialization is everywhere.
I had to laugh at the penultimate paragraph, Liz, since the difference in weight between the two images on the screen would be difficult to determine. (Sorry. Literal minds think that way.) It sounds like you are enjoying taking part in the research.
