Biting my tongue

Cleaning the lounge today I came across a remnant of Christmas wrapping paper. You can see I take this lady's advice seriously.

I did, however, notice a piece Husband missed when he last decorated the room - four or five years ago. It's going to irritate me now. 

But since we're on the subject, let me update you on our hall decorating plans. If you recall a few weeks ago I asked whether you thought I should get a man in or let Husband do it. Even though the majority said, 'Get a man in,' I was persuaded by the comments of a few to let Husband do it so he wouldn't feel emasculated. 

'Do you really want to do it?' I asked him.
'Yes!'

Yesterday Husband emerged from his little den where he'd been playing Crusaders all morning and said, 'If the weather's going to be nice I think I'll start tidying up in the garden.'
'What about the decorating?'
'What decorating?'
'The hall, remember?'
'I can do that in September.' He looked at my face. 'What? You want it done now?'
