All of our dogs have loved to "rescue" rocks from the riverbed etc. :-)
Once when diving, I rolled backwards off the quay only to have the then dog jump in too to "rescue" me, passing me on the way to the bottom ;-)
Another time, another dog saw me snorkeling about 40 yards offshore so swum out to "rescue" me. Unfortunatley she grabbed the top end of the snorkel like it was a stick, which meant I could no longer breathe in; nor could I surface due to the weight of the dog on my back! So I had to tear off the mask & snorkel and with my last remaining air, dive from under the dog to get away and back to the surface to breathe!

I'm glad George is feeling better and back to rescuing rocks. Someone has to do it!
It was, Marie, although a little chilly. yet there were some swimmers in without wetsuits!
