They don't know her history but she was probably a pet bird. That combined with the fact that she's non-native means that she can never be released into the wild. She seemed reasonably happy though, unfazed by the lights, noise and people.
We travelled to Weston in the morning and we were looking forward to cake and tea for our 'lunch' but in spite of walking around most of the town we were unable to find a proper tea shop so we had to make do with an ordinary cafe/restaurant.
On the plus side the amount of clotted cream was generous but the scone had been warmed, probably in a microwave, and was quite limp and not very inspiring.
And you know me, any opportunity to sit down. Getting out was less than elegantly done, needless to say.
And, finally, an old British Railways poster for Weston Super Mare from the foyer of our hotel. It can't have been quite such a breezy day when this lady posed. We did take our bathing costumes but didn't discover the marine lake until later.

I love how owls can turn their heads almost all the way around. And those eyes! So mesmerizing!
Pity about the scone. They're so easy to make.
You take such lovely outings, Liz! Does it show my age that I really, really like the costume on the woman in the poster? Sweet!
