Hot dogs and water rats

Hot dogs
Have Daughter's dog, Holly, staying for a couple of days so this morning, as it was cloudy, I decided to take them for a short walk, which got even shorter when the sun came out and it was too hot for old panty dogs.

Still it was lovely to walk somewhere that wasn't a long hospital corridor.

The first black ones are on their way! GrandSon4 and I tasted our first of the year yesterday.

There were two of these peacock butterflies fluttering around.

Don't know what these are. Look a bit like over-grown wild orchids but I don't think they are. Not rosebay willowherb either.
I forgot to mention that in the park yesterday we watched water rats at play. I specify water rats because that makes them seem more story-book and less nasty sewer creature.

"Water rats" -- the power of language!

Absolutely. I was quite happy standing there watching them. I'd have run screaming if I'd seen one in the garden.

The flower is Foxglove, or Digitalis. It used to be used to make the medication, but I don't think that it is anymore. Be careful if you handle it.
