Is this a fisherman's basket?

Took GrandSon4 to a new park today. New to me that is. Gnoll Country Park was a landscaped garden in the early eighteenth century. The house is long gone but it is a beautiful park for walking and playing.

We didn't explore any of the woodland, instead we walked/cycled around the lake - and then visited the playground.

Wild orchids plus what I'm sure we used to call fisherman's basket. Definitely someone's basket I am convinced.

A swan coming in to land.

Nine cygnets in all.

In spite of being hollow for at least seventy years this oak continues to bloom and produce leaves and acorns. In 2017 it won Welsh Tree of the Year Award.

But it didn't go on to win European Tree of the year.

"European Tree of the Year"? My gawd, why have I never heard of this contest before? We need something similar in Canada!

This year's winner: https://www.treeoftheyear.org/Stromy/Mandlon-na-Sneznem-vrchu-v-Pesti

I'm sure Canada could be included as part of Europe just like Russia and Israel.
