In which I am called 'extremely fit'

Tried a new exercise class this morning. At the end of it the trainer remarked, 'You are extremely fit.'
I preened until I remembered there were 90-year-old women in the class.

ski squat
It's exercise for the over 60s done in a circuit, and you can work or push yourself as hard as you feel comfortable.Having been praised for my - hang on, what was it? - reverse abdominal crunch, when we got to the wall squats I decided to show off and do a sitting ski squat rather than the easier option of sliding up and down against a wall or exercise ball.

The trainer noticed and came across. 'Down an inch,' he said. 'And another.' And then he rested on my shoulder.

After that I thought it would be a good idea to bounce on the trampoline with GrandDaughter2.

I could regret this tomorrow.

With 90 year olds in the class I would probably do quite well too, ha ha. I am visiting my 87 year old friend today at the retirement home where she lives, and she tells me I am young. In comparison.

It's lovely how blogging works… you do impossibly fit things and we all get to admire them.

There may be 90 year old women in the class, but it's still good to be "extremely fit". Don't knock it, it's better than being extremely unfit.
