Spring has sprung and Baby has been christened

A beautiful day for GrandDaughter3's christening. (Timed to coincide with the visit of her Italian grandparents.)

Lunch beforehand included pizzas (not in the picture) cooked by Daughter and declared to be as good as Italian ones.

We also had chocolate and hazelnut flour-free cake topped with Nutella frosting.

The service was surprisingly fun. The priest made sure to involve the young cousins although what he didn't realise was that when GrandSon2 was holding up his hand to make the sign of the cross he was actually practising his karate moves. (He achieved his first belt - red and white - with distinction last week.)

I might disagree with some of the theology/religion but the basic principle of promising to help a child grow up in light is a good one.

On return home I walked George for the first time for a while - feeling poorly and being busy having stopped me before. Today it was Husband's turn to feel under the weather. What we both need is a holiday. Oh wait, yes, that's right, we're going to Fuerteventure next week.
My first violet of Spring.

We have our 2nd Granddaughters Christening in May - I have the dress to make but not the food thank goodness - I am not sure what you feed a load of Scousers on - Pizza would probably do it though!

But he carried it off very well, Debra!

Pizza definitely fills a gap, WTJTM.
