Not a good sign!
The hotel we stayed in seemed to specialise in signs. I particularly like this one.
And Husband was so busy reading this one that he stepped backward and tripped over a step. I enjoy entertaining signs but do wish they'd invested a bit more money in employing a literate signwriter.

They might also have fixed the stairs.
@Katney, the signs were cheaper than fixing the problems. That's why we have so many potholed roads here :-(
