I've given up

I've ordered a second-hand copy from eBay of the book I borrowed as I've searched high and low and can't find it anywhere.
I know I put it somewhere safe ...
However while searching I did find another book I'd forgotten I'd borrowed so that's a plus. I also found the £10 voucher from Waterstone's that they gave me because I spent so much there before Christmas. So a win win situation really.
And Husband is cooking Gary Rhodes' shepherd's pie for dinner for me tonight so all is well in the Hinds' household. I don't know what makes Gary's version so much better than any other but it is. Maybe it's the richness - or simply having it cooked by someone else.
The original plan was that he would make it for dinner yesterday while I was in work but his roller broke. Or that's his story anyway.

I love searching for things that I've misplaced! I usually find so many things that I've forgotten about that it's like opening gifts on Christmas morning!

I have been looking for an invoice for two days I swear I received. At least I have the one I printed off the Internet.

Reading this reminded me I bought a book for my SIL for Christmas - now I just need to remember where I put it. I did give her other presents and she doesn't know......hmmmm if it's that good I just may keep it! lol! Thanks for the reminder & Happy New Year.

Two days ago, I bought another pair of nail clippers for the dogs because I've been looking for the original since early November. Guess what I found today? Yep, the first pair. Just exactly where I thought they were and had LOOKED for them .. and clearly looked straight past them.

The shepherd pie sounds nice - I might have to look up that recipe!

It can be exciting, nick!

How exciting, cherrypie. I hope we'll get photos.

It's so frustrating, nitwit.

I bought too many presents for Christmas so have stored some for birthdays, mrs n. what chance me remembering/finding them?

Maybe, furtheron, but his shepherd's pie and bread and butter pudding are to die for.

I bet you spent ages looking there, too, jay, because you knew they were there!
