Hoovering the stairs this morning - for the first time in ages - I decided I'd be very thorough and use the brush for the steps and the long pipe for the bits in-between the uprights in the banister. That lasted for all of six steps before I had a Shirley Conran moment.
(For those too young to remember, Shirley Conran, who was at the time married to Terence of Habitat, wrote a book called Superwoman, with the most famous quote from it being, 'Life's too short to stuff a mushroom.' By the way, all of the facts within the parentheses are open to correction as I dragged them from my memory, life being too short to google Shirley Conran.)
And that inspired me to come up with my brilliant idea: the Sodit range of greeting cards. Can be adapted to suit all situations. The only problem being, as you can see, that I can't draw.

In all seriousness, Liz, and I should really write to you about it but feeling a bit oh sod it myself - could you put the collection of cartoons together? I have always thought on seeing them that I could maybe put a small range of cards together and see if local WI like them! And your church, of course.
I'll email you properly with a proposal - just write it on the Outlook thing that's meant to ensure I do it.
The sodit range of cards looks very promising. I'm sure there are plenty of suitable subjects. Like cleaning the grouting or ironing pyjamas.
Sod it - a slogan that is perfect for every occasion
You have me laughing my guts out! We have cards like that here but have a much more "profound" word used!
Exactly . I'm trying to imagine any occasion when the dustiness or otherwise of the bits in-between the banisters would even matter .
Unless you're expecting a Royal visit ?
In which case , I'd give Her a bowl of your excellent chili and a slice of your yummy cake . You'll never see the back of Her!
I mady be in a sod it mood today but have enjoyed doing next to nothing until I get to the evening meal.
But now the cards may be a very good idea.
Sabina hoovered the stairs not long ago.
I think you're on to something here, Liz--I would definitely buy one of your "Sodit" cards!
