Looking forward

I'm so glad I'm not in work tomorrow.

There's a problem with the electricity in Linden and that means no heating and we have the quilters in. The quilters like to be warm; the quilters are scary ladies.

I repeat: I am so glad I'm not in work tomorrow.

And the reason I'm not in work? We're off to Surrey. Via Devon.

Elder Son and Daughter-in-law are moving into their first house and we're hiring a van and taking up a sofa from here and a bed and washing machine from Daughter's in Devon. And, if necessary, we'll help transport boxes of clothes and stuff from their flat in Putney.

Then on Saturday Elder Son and D-i-l are off to a wedding leaving mum and dad to do anything helpful they can think of. Cleaning springs to mind but I'm pushing that notion out of my mind, especially as their new house is near Windsor Great Park and Runnymede.

A fun weekend ahead of us.

"their new house is near Windsor Great Park and Runnymede."

There is an enclave of the USA at Runnymede! Do take a photo of yourself in the USA there, WITHOUT all the immigration hassle and post it here for us :-)

Sounds lovely, hope you enjoy it and don't get tied up in too many chores!
What's Gorge up to?

That's some round trip you are doing there.
One day when you come down this way we will have to meet up in the city.

Forget the cleaning go and see Windsor Great Park.

Cleaning can wait for another weekend and give you the excuse to come and see them again, although I doubt you would need an excuse, I've a feeling that you'd be fun to be with.

Thank you for you kind comments re my rant, I did think after wards oh gosh what will people think and will I have offended Liz, as I know of the work you do, so it was lovely to see your supportive comment.

Much love and have a ball at the weekend

Quilters are scary, eh?

What makes us scary?

Hang on ... why'd the quilters need heating any way? Surely they have the quilts for that... isn't that the point? Or am I up the wrong gum tree without a paddle again?
